Founded in 2006 in New York, NY, Shermen Capital is made up of a group of individuals, institutions, and private equity partners who are expressly interested in acquiring agricultural enterprises. In addition, we provide solutions and capital for private to public transactions and certain growth strategies for agricultural firms. Our two senior partners are Francis P. Jenkins, Jr. and G. Kenneth Moshenek, both of whom have an extensive background in agricultural investments and operations. We have no specific industry preferences and can participate within the full scope of the agricultural sector, both domestic and internationally. We prefer transaction sizes from $50 - $300 million; but can go larger or smaller. Unlike most traditional private equity firms, we are highly flexible regarding transaction structures. We can partner with existing management teams or will provide management if needed. Generally, Shermen does not participate in start-ups or turn-arounds.
